Last week the most delicate little girl came into the studio to have her newborn portraiture made on her 12th day. Sierra was a delight! This little one was ready to settle in, and napped the entire session. Allowing me to really capture her beautifully for her parents.
Her mom and dad were really great to meet and work with. My hat is off to Mom for following the plan for the morning to help her arrive and be ready for sleep. When I talk with my moms about the session details, I always ask for the nursery colors to help me narrow down props, backdrops, and the accessories we will use. Her choices were wonderful, she went with lavender and soft yellow, such a pretty combo.
My friend Shari, who is my second set of hands during newborn sessions was traveling home from a vacation…… When you are used to an extra set of hands, you do wonder what it’s like without them….. then you pray…. And as soon as the family arrives, you ask a great question? “I am really hopeful you would be willing to take Shari’s place, Dad?” He quickly said yes, and volunteered his services, to be my spotter. He was calm and a great help! I really appreciate you, Sir!
I also believe that there is something special about the way a little girls performs in front of her daddy!
So cute how many little ones love to have their tongue visible. It’s almost a game to see if I can get them to close just a tich, to hide it.
Sweet Family of 3!
