The 11th day of life, is normally the day I recommend for capturing your newborn. It is planned to be after the first week growth spurt and before a few things we like to avoid, that appear at the end of the second week, like acne….. So, I think its magical. It’s also a window of sleepiness, as they are from the start, growing and changing while sleeping.
Newborns are as unique as we are. We understand that about ourselves. I am growing to respect that even more, as I meet so many precious little people for their first photos. Milan (pronounced Mylan) is a very light sleeper, and aware of his surroundings to the point of looking right at me after the slightest movement. Milan’s images are a good example of natural newborn photography, Milan inspired!
Of course I started off with a precious little sleepy shot!
Here he is watching and observing his first photographer…. not wanting to miss a moment I guess…
His adorable little movements, seeing these images helps me to see his tiny self and hopefully will remind Mom of it too.. . With all the wiggles I’m thankful for my friend and assistant Shari! What a gift it is to have 4 hands during a newborn session.
Luke and Katie are local business owners, they own the Swamp Head Brewery. If you haven’t been to their new location, you’ll find all the information here, http://swamphead.com/
You will see a little of the influence of what they do, sprinkled in Milan images. Enjoy a glimpse of a precious Gainesville family…..
One more little detail that you might not know about Luke and Katie… How cute is this Cheesehead!
if you are expecting and would also like timeless images to take you back to the natural first few days of your child!
